Face Lift

Changes in our face that we see as we age reveal themselves in the form of loss of volume, weakening of muscles, softening of the skin, wrinkles and loss of elasticity.

The goal of facelift surgery is to lift the face upwards and support loss of volume based on how the face looked previously. Based on the patient’s needs and requests, facelift surgery can be performed as mid, full or mini facelift and when necessary can be performed in combination with neck lift, eyelid surgery, fat injections and skin rejuvenation.

Facelift procedures are performed through incisions beginning from in front of the ear or the hairline extending to behind the ear. During surgery relevant tissues are uplifted, excess skin is removed and when necessary, procedures that restore volume are performed. Patients need to wear a girdle for 10 days following surgery and there might be swelling and bruising during such time. Patients can resume daily activities in 7-14 days based on the extent of surgery.
